3 Tips For Effectively Doing Your Laundry At The Laundromat

While doing your laundry at the laundromat isn't the funnest thing in the world, is a great option to get your laundry done all at one time if you don't have a washing machine or a dryer of your own. Laundromats are also great for large items, such as blankets, that you can't fit in your regular size washing machine and dryer. However, when you go to the laundromat you want to have the best experience possible. In order to have this, there are a few different things that you can do. This article will discuss 3 tips for effectively doing your laundry at the laundromat.

Pre-Sort and Treat All Of Your Clothes

Rather than taking all of your clothes to the laundromat in one big bag or hamper, take the time to sort them before you go. This allows you to place them right in the washing machine when you arrive, and also makes it so that you don't have to worry about trying to find a good place to sort them. Also, be sure that you have already pre-treated any stained clothing that you may have. Trying to dig these pieces out and treat them at the laundromat is time consuming and difficult, and it also makes it so that you have to carry one more thing inside: stain remover.

Bring Rolls Of Quarters

Most laundromats are going to want you to use quarters to pay for getting your laundry done. While some may have a location where you can break your bills down into quarters, others do not. Because of this, it is a good idea to simply bring rolls of quarters to the laundromat with you instead of bills. You can go to your local bank to get your rolls of quarters quite easily, or some grocery stores will give them to you as well. Having the quarters on hand will allow you to get your laundry started right away without any trouble.

Try To Go At A Time That It Won't Be Busy

When laundromats are busy it can be a nightmare trying to find a washing machine and a dryer for all of your clothing. You may end up having to spread your clothes out in machines that are all over the place, rather than placing them right next to each other like you would like. In order to avoid this, try to go to the laundromat at a time when it isn't quite as busy. For example, try to avoid around 9 in the morning when many moms are doing their laundry, or perhaps around 4-5 when a lot of people are getting off of work to do their laundry.
